Krishna returns to Mathura
Krishna and Balarama enter Mathura, face Kamsa’s challenges and bring an oppressive reign to an end.
Invited to Mathura under dangerous circumstances, Krishna and Balarama left the pastoral world of their childhood and entered the royal city.
They overcame the obstacles arranged for them, entered the wrestling arena and confronted Kamsa. Krishna defeated the king and freed Devaki and Vasudeva.
The victory restores rightful order, but it also marks a poignant transition: Krishna’s public responsibilities now extend beyond Vrindavan.
